London Bus Repaints and Transfers was established in 1990 when we started to produce transfers suitable for the then newly introduced EFE RT model and bus kits. The range has grown over the years since in line with the growth of new diecast models added to the EFE, OOC and Britbus ranges.
We have focused our range on London Transport and it's successors, and have built up an extensive range of blind sets, covering both central red and country green routes. The blinds are available in various formats making them suitable for use on a wide range of different diecast and kit built model types.
The range also includes a varied selection of fleet names and logos which cover the many styles that have appeared on London's buses since the 1930's.
We even produce the smaller items which add that authentic finishing touch to your models, legal lettering, unladen weights, garage codes, fleet numbers and registration plates.
All our transfers are designed in house using the latest computer graphics design software. The high quality waterslide transfers are printed using the traditional silk screen process and are produced by a leading manufacturer who have many years experience in the field, they used to produce the transfers for Airfix kits, this is how they began their business over 60 years ago,and still use the same printing methods today LBRT transfers are exactly the same as Airfix were, just emerse in warm water and slide onto the model..
We are fully licensed by the London Transport (Licence No. 01/3507) to use the famous Johnston typeface and reproduce official insignia, fleet names and advertisements.
The transfer range now runs to over 1500 individual items, and includes a range of period adverts covering the era from the 1930's to the present day, and are generally only suitable for London models.
The biggest event for us was the launch of this website back in 2005, this has allowed us to update model stock levels on a regular basis and keep customers up to date with new models & transfers as and when they are announced.
During 2006 we introduced a monthly email newsletter service which allows us to alert our customers to new items and occasional special offers. You can join the service by using the option above left.
In September 2006 the business was relocated to a larger office premises which will allow us to offer an improved level of service to all of our customers.
2009 see us on the move again this time to Cornwall where my wife and I are semi retiring.
With our transfers you no longer have to hope that EFE or OOC will produce a model depicting your favourite route and era, you can now convert a standard diecast release in to your dream model
............Note: Transfers only now through BUS STOP MODELS............
